Gratitude and Appreciation

Thank you to the teachers and volunteers that organize and lead our congregation in Eunice, Ladies Aid, Men’s Breakfast, B.A.S.K., Bible Study, VBS, Edgar County Brotherhood, Dollar Club, Blood Drive Canteen, Movie Night and many other activities.  Your efforts are valued and appreciated!

Worship Emphasis

Isaiah 40:28-31 was recited at President Ronald Reagan’s funeral service. Listening to those verses in 2004 was the first time that I really made attention to the words “waiting,” “faith” and “renewed strength.”

“Waiting” is often quite difficult when we expect immediate actions to our prayers. “Waiting” means that we need to trust in God’s power and timing.

These verses are a commanding promise to those who have “faith” in God. It assures them that they will experience “renewed strength,” enabling them to overcome fatigue and discouragement. This passage is now one of my favorites and I read it every day.

Worship Emphasis Request

We are inviting our congregation to contribute to our Worship Emphasis column. Would you consider participating by sharing your favorite scripture(s) along with a brief explanation why?  Steve Brinkerhoff and Kurt will be answering any questions and accepting your submissions.
