There has been a confirmed case of the COVID-19 virus in our area. The Health Department has asked us to not have church services or programs this week. The elders have agreed to this request. Please stayed tuned for further updates.

Sermon Recordings
If you are unable to be with us on a given Sunday morning, you can listen to Kurt and Don’s sermons on our website. Click on the media tab then sermons, click on the sound cloud website address, and review the list for the sermon that you want to hear. By clicking on the scripture reference, you will be able to read the associated sermon notes and start the recording. The sermons will be in date order with the most current one at the top of the list.
Winter Jam 2020
Don, Camille and 15 of our youth attended the Winter Jam 2020 concert in St. Charles, MO. They left directly after church on February 9 and returned home in the wee hours of Monday morning. Twelve bands performed including Crowder, Building 429 and Newsong. It was an enjoyable event for all.
Canvas and Coffee
On February 16, the youth held a Canvas and Coffee fundraiser for their Christ in Youth summer trip. Kelly Cash led the class with painting a spring-themed masterpiece. Our appreciation is extended to everyone who participated and helped with the event. The youth raised $321.00 to help with their expenses. Thank you!

WinterFest at Camp Illiana_January 2020
Camp Illiana recently hosted WinterFest for youth in 3rd-6th grades. Don and Camille attended this event along with 14 youth. Please visit the Gallery page to view pictures from their trip.
Winter Retreat – January 2020
On January 2, our youth went to Wausau, Wisconsin for a winter retreat at Granite Peak Ski Resort. There were a few falls and sore muscles but mostly laughs and enjoyable fellowship!

High School Youth Christmas Party
Our high school youth gathered at the church last night for their Christmas Party. We are thankful for these teens and our youth ministers, Don and Camille.
Children’s Christmas Program-Rescheduled Date
Our children’s program had to be cancelled last Sunday due to inclement weather. It has been rescheduled to Sunday, December 22 at the second service (10:40 a.m.) We will have communion and some worship but the message will be from our children in the form of a play, “The Next Noel.” All children should be in their classrooms by 10:30 a.m. in preparation of their performance.
There will also be a time of fellowship in the foyer starting at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to enjoy some cookies as they make their way to Sunday School and to see our children’s program.
Children’s Christmas Program
Our Children’s Christmas Program will be held this Sunday, December 15 at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

A BIG THANK YOU to those who supplied gifts – whatever they were for Operation Christmas Child. Also to our Adult Sunday School classes; and Central State Construction for their generous donation for the shipping costs. To so many who helped with the packing of boxes, too many to name, but you know who you are. And to Betty Jane’s Kitchen for breakfast items supplied and enjoyed by everyone after the boxes were filled. This is truly a loving and giving church and the boys and girls of Operation Christmas Child will be blessed. Thank you.
